Do I have to book?

You do not have to book, but you can if you like. To book, head to the timetable on our website.

how do i cancel a class i booked?

Login via the Login tab in the navigation panel on this page, click on your schedule, and click "Cancel" next to the class you want to cancel.

what do i need to bring/wear?

Just bring a water bottle and a small towel. Wear light, comfortable clothing you can move and stretch in. You do not need shoes or socks for any classes.

do i need to bring my own mat?

We have mats for hire for $2 and some you can purchase to keep. It's great to bring your own mat if you can. You can store your own mat here too.

what time does the studio open?

The studio opens 15 minutes before class.

how early should i arrive?

The studio door is locked right on the time of class starting so please aim to arrive 10 minutes before class.

do you have showers?

Yes! We have 3 Female showers and 1 Male shower.

what if i'm a beginner or a newbie to Daily Dose?

We love beginners! Please see our New Students page for everything you need to know.

But what if i'm not flexible?

Don't worry! This is something you will slowly develop over time and is one of the main benefits of a regular yoga or pilates practice.

is it hot yoga?

No, our classes are not hot. We keep the studio at a comfortable temperature - warming it up when it's cold outside, and cooling you down with some fresh air if we work up a sweat in class.

can i participate if i'm pregnant?

It depends. Doctors do not recommend anyone who becomes pregnant to start any new type of exercise. But, if you have previously practiced yoga or pilates (before you became pregnant), please see your doctor first to check if it is ok. We do not recommend pilates for anyone less than 12 weeks pregnant, or for those who have never done pilates before.

do you have parking?

There is free street parking all around the studio - on William Street, Carslisle Street, Blenheim Street and Orange Grove to name a few. There are also two free car parks - on Nelson Street and Camdem Street (near Coles).

where is the studio?

The studio is located at 2 William Street Balaclava, above Grill'd.

studio etiquette

- Please arrive at least 5 minutes early to class. The entrance door at the top of the stairs is locked right on time of class starting - Please leave your bags and shoes in the pigeon holes provided - Please turn your mobile phone onto silent and leave with the rest of your belongings in the pigeon holes - Please respect others and avoid talking during class - Please try not to leave before relaxation/savasana. If you absolutely must, please leave before relaxation/savasana and not during - Please clean your mat after class, and return any equipment neatly (roll up straps, fold blankets etc)
